New features in Paint.NET 3.0 include:- Open multiple documents in the same window
- More languages
- Interactive gradient tool
- User defined colour palettes
- New effects: Clouds, Median, Unfocus, Outline, and an improved Sharpen
- More intuitive and more powerful toolbar
- Generally improved and cleaner user interface
- History files are now compressed to save disk space, reduce disk activity, and improve performance.
- "Merge Down" layer command
Unfortunately Windows 2000 is no longer supported in this release. Off course Windows 2000 users can still The Gimp, another great open source paint program.
